Regarding of Global Retail Development Index (GRDI) from A. T. Kearney in 2006 Ukraine has ranked at 4th place after India, Russia, and Vietnam. It is quite good despite of 3rd place in the last year. By the Euromonitor International retail business turnover was $14.2 bln, current year it could be increased up to $16 bln. Other sources are predicting this figure around 22 bln.

Regarding Goskomstat (Federal statistical organisation) Kiev ranks at 1st place for retail turnover - $3,1 bln.

Biggest retail chains - Fozzy Group ($ 700 mln), Furshet ($ 413 mln), Velika Kishenya ($ 233 mln).

I'd like to ask readers to comment this post what a such figures mean for their countries' retail business?
